This Friday is First Friday and we have some incredible original pieces by Wendy Varr Burgess. We are hosting an artist reception for her until 9 pm this Friday, so feel free to stop in to meet her then.
Recent work by Wendy Varr Burgess was created in the fluid mediums of alcohol ink and Japanese Kuretake watercolors. These pieces were inspired by both the natural movement of things like water and flowing seaweed and grasses as well as the solid nature of rock formations, compacted beach sand and patterns in driftwood and dead branches. Wendy’s background and education in Environmental Studies has most definitely influenced her work as a self taught artist.
Wendy’s watercolor and alcohol inks are on display through August.
